Fees

My fee is $250 per 50-minute therapy session. The initial intake session, which is 50-80 minutes, is also $250. I accept payment via cash, check, credit card, and HSA/FSA card. Payment is due at the time of each session.

I am an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies. If you would like to request reimbursement from your insurance company, I can provide a statement of services (superbill) for you to submit. To find out how much your insurance may cover, contact your insurance company directly.

Cancellation Policy

Diablo Health Psychology has a 24-hour cancellation policy. Scheduling a therapy appointment reserves that time specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please do so by phone or email as early as possible. Should you need to cancel or reschedule within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment, you will be responsible for the full session fee.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services, including psychotherapy services. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
