I am a California licensed clinical psychologist located in the San Francisco Bay Area. I specialize in helping people cope with serious medical illnesses and other major stressors and life transitions. My style as a therapist is collaborative, warm, and supportive.

I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from UCLA with an emphasis in Health Psychology. Trained as both a clinician and a researcher, I spent several years conducting research to understand how people cope successfully during life-changing stressors such as being diagnosed with cancer. My research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.

I have over 10 years of experience providing therapy for individuals with chronic medical conditions including cancer, diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune diseases, and others. In addition to my work at Diablo Health Psychology, I currently serve as an Attending Clinical Psychologist at UCSF’s Psycho-Oncology program within the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center. There, I work with individuals after cancer diagnosis and during treatment, and later as they transition out of active treatment and cope with the unique challenges of cancer survivorship. I also work with individuals facing end of life concerns.

I completed a full-time clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, one of the largest and most comprehensive health care facilities in the country. At the VA, I specialized in Health Psychology and received advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Chronic Pain, CBT for Insomnia, and evidence-based treatments for depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders.
